Comprised of Frosty and Daedelus, their set was like nothing I’d seen before. I arrived as Adventure Time took the stage. Rex was the North American mammals hall, also known as the main stage. DJs Sodapop and Inka One, joined by violinist Paul Dateh, kept up a solid hip hop vibe throughout the night. Complete with a bar, chairs, and exhibits of everything from elephants to hyenas, it was the perfect place to kick back and relax. To the left was the DJ lounge, housed inside the African mammals hall. As soon as they arrived, attendees were greeted by royalty: The skeleton of a T.
Here’s a brief recap of the night.įor starters, the whole night felt like Night At The Museum. Last night, the Gaslamp Killer and openers Adventure Time played one of the best events I’ve ever attended. Held at the Natural History Museum on the first Friday of each month, it was truly a showcase of the best of LA: incredible culture, amazing people, and great music. We’ve started this as yet another way to bring new artists to light in this day and age, any amount of air time is golden for an up and comer in the music scene. You can catch me mixing on the award-winning NSB Radio station every Tuesday night 8-10pm (EST). Have some new Flux Pavilion featuring Doctor on this insane tune Classic Flux Pavilion with his signature sound Joshua Steele, known professionally as Flux. I ran on the side (until godaddy stole it form me) and also write for .uk as well as and. Never released a track, but I've been producing for nearly 15 years and playing out as a DJ for at least 8. Been in Florida my whole life nurturing a love for all beats that break. A little heavy on the cheese factor, I still see it going over well on the dancefloor.Ĭheck out the previews below, and watch out for this one to drop on Ram Records February 25th. It’s a heavy roller that you wont be able to escape if you’re on the dancefloor when it drops.Ī bit softer and more experimental on the B-side, DC Breaks really shine by infusing their style with the melodic Drumstep that is ‘Let It Go’. Sticking to their roots on the A-Side, ‘Shaman’ kicks the door in with the intensity of a DnB home invasion. Taking their signature style to a new level, the London based duo delivers two solid tracks on this release. Here SKisM has taken over 30 songs and mashed them together.Emerging from the studio once again, DC Breaks returns with a vicious new single. Luckily I was able to find SKisM's new Volume 1 mixtape of Never Say Die. Every once in awhile Krewella will release a new troll mix, but generally it seems not many dubstep guys do podcasts/mixtapes as often as the trance producers. Just the other day I was looking for a new dubstep mixtape to listen to while I run and was left pretty much empty handed.
